Let Sino's Lamination Stacks Empower Your Project!
To speed up your project, you can label Lamination Stacks with details such as tolerance, material, surface finish, whether or not oxidized insulation is required, quantity, and more.
Laminations don’t get bought for their own sake. They get bought because something has to spin, or hum, or hold a magnetic field steady for years. Here’s where our cores end up — and what each application asks of them.
Traction motors are the hardest case we see. High frequency, high current, and a buyer watching the range figure. That means thin steel — 0.20 mm and below — low core loss, and tolerances that survive high rpm. We run EV cores on high-speed stamping for volume, laser cutting for prototypes.
The bulk of the market, and the least forgiving on price. 50/60 Hz, continuous duty, IE3 to IE4 targets. Standard non-oriented silicon steel at 0.35 or 0.50 mm usually hits the number without overpaying for it.
These motors run for years at part load. Nobody notices them until they get noisy. Balanced, quiet, low-vibration stacks matter more than a peak efficiency number that only shows up on a lab bench.
Big diameter, low speed, high pole count, and a service life measured in decades. Often segmented so they can actually be shipped and assembled on site. Wind, hydro, and standby gen-sets all land here.
Highest power density, worst environment. 180–250 °C insulation systems, direct liquid cooling, and a paper trail behind every lot. Nobody here accepts “good enough” without evidence.
Low cogging, tight pole placement, repeatable torque. Steppers and servos where a micron of misalignment eventually shows up in the finished part.
Grain-oriented steel with a closed flux path. EI and UI shapes, CRGO and CRNGO, plus high-permeability nickel-iron when the signal is small and the loss budget is smaller.
High volume, cost-sensitive, and still expected to last. Good tooling and a stable stamping process are what carry this category — not fancy steel.
Send the drawing or the spec sheet. We’ll come back with the material, the thickness, the stack, and the price. And if a cheaper combination gets you the same result, we’ll tell you that instead.
